Before we begin, let me ask you something: how many of you washed your face this morning? But here’s the thing: most of us know how to wash our skin, brush our teeth, even clean our inboxes… yet we forget to do the same for our emotions. And then we wonder why they pile up like unopened emails at 3 a.m. (Yes, I saw that smile — you know exactly what I mean). I’m Aida, a clinical psychologist trained in art therapy. And no, I’m not here to teach you how to draw like Picasso. (Thank God, right? That would be intimidating.) I’m not here to fix you either, because you’re not broken. My work lives in the part of mental health no one talks about: the prevention side. Most of the system waits until people are in crisis. But I believe in something different, in emotional hygiene. Just like washing your face, it’s a practice you do before things break. That’s why I bring together two things: 1- Mindfulness: the pause button we all wish life came with. 2- Art-making” not about being an artist, but about letting your hands say what words can’t. So today, I invite you to treat this session like a sink for the soul. We’ll rinse off some stress, splash a little creativity, and maybe (if we’re lucky) leave glowing in ways even Sephora can’t manage.
